Milonga Pasional: Sunday Afternoon Tango

About Your Hosts: Karen & Dave

Dave and Karen are dedicated hosts who have been supporting the Sarasota tango community for many years. They have spent their Sundays keeping a daytime milonga running for local dancers.

This is a modest, intimate gathering rather than a massive, crowded event. You do not have to worry about a packed floor or the pressure of being judged by seasoned dancers. Instead, the smaller environment allows the instructors to give you more personal attention, making it a very casual and approachable afternoon.

Admission & Refreshments

Your admission covers the entire afternoon. What is included:

• The one-hour pre-milonga dance lesson
• Pizza from Joey D's
• A selection of snacks
• Malbec wine, soda, and water

What to Expect

Milonga Pasional takes place in the smaller back room of the Sara Dance studio rather than the main ballroom. It is a very grounded event that is great for casual social interaction and practice.

While experienced tango dancers looking for a high-energy, crowded floor might find it a bit too quiet, it serves as a comfortable, welcoming starting point for beginners who want to build up their confidence and get their bearings in the dance.
